ABOUT US
I S I S
I S I S, The Institute for Study of Initiation and Symbolism, was founded
by philosopher Tadahiro Onuma, Sumi, his wife and his friends on the autumnal
equinox of 1981 in Nagoya, Japan.
The purpose of I S I S is to study the ancient mysteries of East and West.
All ancient mysteries included stages of spiritual initiation and symbolical
rituals.
As an Hermetic philosopher, Tadahiro Onuma studied the ancient Four Elements
Theory. He found that it was not an archaic scientific theory of matter,
but rather, a symbolic template, a guide the journey of life, and pathway
to spiritual initiation. The Four Elements are an important principle of
Astrology. The theory is also applicable to the Kabbalah, Tarot and Aromatherapy..
In 2000, I S I S relocated to Tokyo. The spiritual disciplines of Kabbalah,
Tarot, Astrology and Aromatherapy were opened to the public. These four
disciplines are universal spiritual legacies derived from the ancient mysteries
common to all humanity.
At present, I S I S offers 11 courses. They are taught by Tadahiro and

S in Tokyo, Japan. He has authored many books on Kabbalah, Tarot, Astrology, magic and philosophy. He lives in Tokyo with his wife, Sumi. |
